October 2, 2012 Dear Neighbor, The clock is ticking! Two weeks from today, on Tuesday, October 16th, I will be hosting the 9th Job Hunters Boot Camp at the San Mateo County Event Center, Fiesta Hall. If you are looking for work I encourage you to attend this valuable and informative event. Please feel free to forward this information to any friends or family members that are in the job market - all are welcome! As with past boot camps, attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with local employers that are actively hiring. Thus far, more than 35 employers have registered including Oracle, Kaiser Permanente and Onyx Pharmaceuticals. You will hear from job coaches who will teach you how to use social media to best market yourself and land that dream job you’ve been reaching for. We will also have special sessions that are tailored for both mature job seekers and new high school and college graduates who are in the job market for the very first time. Lastly, there will be three employer panels where you can get the inside scoop from human resource staff that are making hiring decisions every single day.
