Dear Friend,

I hope you have enjoyed a restful summer and quality time with friends and family. It’s that time of year again- summer vacations are ending and kids are heading back to school. For many recent high school and college grads, this fall comes with a brand new challenge; finding a job in a tight economy. My office is here to help. We have begun planning our next Job Hunters Bootcamp, scheduled for Tuesday, October 16th at the San Mateo County Fair Grounds. If you are a recent graduate, I encourage you to attend. Or, if you know a recent graduate who might be interested, please pass along this information- all San Mateo County residents are welcome!

This fall we will be focused on helping new graduates find that first job that will send them on their way to a successful career. At the event job seekers will hear from leading job coaches and presenters on how they can perfect their resume and sharpen their interview skills. In addition, we are recruiting employers that represent start-up hi-tech companies located both here on the Peninsula and in San Francisco, where this industry has experienced a recent growth surge. In March, when we held our last event, nearly 40 employers attended who were actively hiring. This fall, we hope to surpass that amount so attendees will have access to the maximum number of opportunities.

Additional details will follow as the event approaches. In the meantime, job seekers that are interested in attending this helpful event should register on my website here, as soon as possible. Space is limited and registration is required.

All the best,

jackie
