Dear Friends,
2010 is drawing to its close and we will soon greet the New Year. As always, I am grateful for the privilege and honor of serving you in Congress and for your everlasting trust and friendship.
While this past year has been extremely painful and difficult for me, I’m proud to have served during what has clearly been a markedly productive Congress. Under my leadership in the Ways and Means Committee, the Congress has passed some of the most critical bills including the healthcare reform bill, unemployment benefits extension bill, teachers’ jobs bill, and the Haiti hurricane relief bill. And thanks to your continuous support and encouragement, records indicate that I ranked #1 in the number of bills passed during the 111th Congress.
I won’t stop fighting to improve your livelihoods and restore the American Dream in 2011. There will be many challenges ahead of us, but I believe we can succeed in making a real difference if we all work together.
