2011 has come to a close and 2012 is upon us. While our nation is still facing challenges going into the new year, I want you to know that I've been working tirelessly with President Obama and Democrats in the House of Representatives to pass The American Jobs Act that would put America back to work. In our own District, I hosted the Rangel Career Fair which connected more than 2,000 job-seekers in our community to 90 employers. In 2012, I will continue to focus on revamping our economy, helping you secure jobs, and assisting small businesses in gaining more profit. I also won't stop fighting to protect your Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and your rights to vote, affordable healthcare and housing and quality education. To share your ideas and concerns for the new year, you can leave comments on my Facebook page or follow me on my Twitter account. Also, don't forget to take a look at the Rangel Winter Survival Kit in which you'll find federal and local resources that can help you save on energy costs, apply for scholarships and grants, and learn about the changes being made to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid in the new year.
