STANDING UP FOR THE UNEMPLOYED

October 15, 2010
Dear Friends,

Putting New Yorkers back to work is one of my top priorities and I'm pleased that the HIRE Act, legislation I led to passage in the Ways and Means Committee, is creating jobs and rebuilding our economy. This, along with the Recovery Act and just enacted Small Business Jobs Act, is part of President Obama's comprehensive efforts to put money into people's pockets and strengthen America's global competitiveness. My Democratic colleagues and I are determined to work harder to spur economic growth and make certain that everyone in America has the opportunity for good-paying American jobs. This is what I'm fighting for -- a better tomorrow for you and your family and our children's children. Thank you.
