REMEMBERING THE UNFORGETTABLE WAR
On the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War

Dear Friends,
Today marks the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War , often dubbed the "Forgotten War". As a Korean War veteran, I can tell you the war was anything but forgettable.
Little Angels & the Congressional Commemoration
I was elated to welcome the South Korea's Little Angels' singing troupe to my office before their performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Made up of girls aged 9 to 15, these "Peace Angels" are on the first leg of their thanking tour that will include all 16 nations that contributed troops to the Korean War effort.
Most importantly, I was so proud to participate in the congressional commemoration marking the Korean War's 60th anniversary at Statuary Hall on June 24, 2010. Indeed it was a solemn affair; but it was also remarkably beautiful because it recognized the significance of the Korean War veterans and their significant role in history.
