Today:
No discrimination against children with pre-existing conditions.
Coverage in a high-risk pool for adults with pre-existing conditions.
If you get sick, you cannot be dropped from your insurance plan.
Closing the Medicare Donut Hole, an immediate $250 rebate.
Free preventive care under Medicare.
Help for early retirees, temporary coverage for ages 55-64.
Small business tax credit at 35% of premiums this year.
Young adults can stay on their parents' plans until 26th birthday.
No lifetime coverage limits.
Free preventive care under new plans.
Plans must put more of your premiums into your care, less into profits.
Increased funding for community health centers.

In 2014:
Establishes health insurance exchanges.
No discrimination against adults with pre-existing conditions.
No higher premiums for women.
Premiums based on age can vary by a maximum of a 3-to-1 ratio.
Places cap on out-of-pocket expenses for private health plans.
Small business tax credit rises to 50% of premiums.
