ONE YEAR OF HEALTH CARE REFORM
March 25, 2011
Dear Friends,
One year ago, on March 23, 2010, we passed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. This groundbreaking piece of legislation is the culmination of an enduring vision to reform our healthcare system from one governed solely by profits, to one that more effectively, fairly, and morally meets the needs of all Americans. I am so proud to say that the legislation enabled 32 million uninsured Americans to have access to healthcare, and protects families from losing coverage due to pre-existing conditions. As we move forward, I will keep fighting to preserve and strengthen this legislation so that we can continue to improve the health and wellbeing of Americans throughout our great country.
