Dear Friends,
This week the Republican leadership made a futile attempt to repeal healthcare. I want to assure you that you will not lose the important healthcare provisions my Democratic collegues and I have worked so hard with President Obama to provide for the American people. We will not let Republicans repeal your benefits and put insurance companies back in charge. Instead of bringing such bills as the Patients’ Rights Repeal Act to the Floor, I hope soon that Republicans will reach out to Democrats to develop bipartisan solutions that will create jobs, strengthen the middle class, and reduce our long-term deficit.
