FIRED UP & READY TO GO IN THE NEW CONGRESS!
January 7, 2011
Dear Friends,
This week marked the beginning of the 112th Congress, and thanks to you I was sworn in for my 21st term in the House of Representatives. My Democratic colleagues and I have made job creation our number one priority in the new Congress. All legislative efforts will be focused on creating jobs, strengthening America’s middle class, and reducing the deficit.
There will be many challenges ahead of us in the next two years, as the Republicans officially gained majority of the House. We will have to fight hard to continue providing important government services like healthcare, education and veterans’ care for Americans.
Clearly, working in a bipartisanship fashion will be very difficult. But I will continue to work hard to move our country forward and to restore people’s faith in the American Dream. Thank you for your support. It is a great honor and privilege to represent you in Congress.
