Are You Unemployed or Underemployed and Facing Foreclosure?
If so, an important foreclosure assistance program has been rolled out this week by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This new program is called the Emergency Homeowners' Loan Program (EHLP) and was created as part of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to provide emergency mortgage assistance to homeowners who are temporarily and involuntarily unemployed or underemployed due to the economy or a medical condition and are at risk of foreclosure.
There is a brief window to apply for this program (June 20, 2011 through July 22, 2011) so check here to see if you are eligible and start the paperwork and registration process.
