Government in the Grocery
Discuss the Issues with Ed

To discuss the issues important to you, please attend my next Government in the Grocery. This is a program where my staff and I go to grocery stores throughout the district and talk with constituents one-on-one. Hearing from you helps me better represent the values of the hard working people of the 7th Congressional District in Congress. Due to time constraints, we must limit each person or group to approximately five minute intervals.

New Visitor Center at the Rocky Mountain
Arsenal Breaks Ground

Bison herd at Rocky Mountain Arsenal
Last week, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge broke ground on a state-of-the-art Visitor Center. The $7.7 million project includes $3 million of funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This 12,500-square-foot energy efficient facility will incorporate modern environmental features and is scheduled to open in spring 2011.

I am proud to support legislation to help build a new energy efficient visitor center for the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. Construction on this new facility will create jobs and make this world-class wildlife refuge more accessible to the public and will save money on utility costs.

For more information about the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and this project go to: http://www.fws.gov.

Visit My New Small Business Resource Center

In an effort to help the Colorado small business community as much as possible, I launched the Small Business Resource Center on my website. Small businesses are the engine that drives our economy by creating and maintaining long-term, good paying jobs. In this resource center, business owners and entrepreneurs will have information available to find loans, maximize available tax benefits, learn about the tax credits available under the new health insurance reform legislation and also share with me the issues you face and ideas you may have to promote small business growth.
