Havana, Aurora, CO 80012 When: Saturday, February 20, 2010, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) Map It Tax Relief For the Middle Class In April of last year, Congress passed the Make Work Pay tax credit, which provided 95% of working Americans tax relief. This provision granted a $400 credit for individuals earning less than $75,000 per year, and $800 for working couples making less than $150,000. I will continue to fight for tax policies that strengthen the middle class instead of the wealthiest 1%. In 2010, new opportunities exist to help Americans save even more: Homebuyers will continue to see tax incentives of up to $8,000 on most home purchases, thanks to an extension of the Homebuyer Tax Credit program. College students and their families will qualify this year for a tax credit of up to $4,000 on education expenses through the American Opportunity credit. Increasing the energy efficiency of your home may earn a 30% credit on the improvements. Congressman Ed Perlmutter
