McIntyre Will Fight For Continuation of Surf City Post Office
July 27, 2011
Dear Friends,
On Tuesday, July 26, the U.S. Postal Service announced plans to conduct studies of approximately 3,700 post offices nationwide to determine their viability and future. The Surf City Post Office will be one of the post offices evaluated.
My office has talked with Mayor Zander Guy and reassured him of our commitment to the Surf City Post Office, and we will work together to get the U.S. Postal Service the important details and facts about the Surf City Post Office.
Post offices are an important component of day-to-day living offering valuable services to residents and businesses. I am committed to working with the mayor and the citizens and community of Surf City, North Carolina to fight to keep your Post Office open and operational.
Sincerely,
U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre
Representing the 7th District of North Carolina
