Dear Friends,

Tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 17th, I’m hosting a public meeting to discuss safety measures in nuclear power.

Given the recent events that occurred in Japan and our proximity to the Salem and Hope Creek power plants, I think it’s important that Delawareans understand the safety plans and precautions in place for our protection.

Tomorrow’s panel discussion will include experts from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, PSEG Nuclear, the Delaware Emergency Management Agency, Widener Law School, and the Town of Delaware City. It will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the Delaware City Fire Hall. The meeting is free and open to the public. I hope you will be able to attend.
