Dear Neighbor,

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and their success is crucial to our economic recovery.

In order to succeed, all businesses need a level playing field that allows them to compete and grow. That is why I recently spoke before the House Judiciary Committee about the importance of having online retailers collect sales tax so that the businesses in our community are not at a competitive disadvantage.

Small businesses need a fair chance to grow in this tough economy. In Congress, I’m working hard to support our small businesses and to ensure that we create an environment that fosters their growth.

Hearing from small business owners like yourself helps me better serve you in Washington. If you haven’t already done so, take some time to fill out my Small Business Survey. It only takes a few minutes and it gives you the opportunity to share what issues are important to you.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to invite you to a Small Business Seminar I am hosting on August 15th, 2012 at 5:30pm at the La Mirada Activity Center (13810 La Mirada Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90712). To RSVP, visit my Facebook page here.

Thank you for taking the time to read the "Latest from Linda" and answering my survey. Please do not hesitate to contact me with your feedback or if I can be of further assistance. You can contact me online or by calling my office at (562) 860-5050.

Sincerely,

Linda T. Sánchez
Member of Congress

P.S. Staying in touch with you helps me know what is most important to our community, and I am always looking for new ways to touch base with you and your family. You can connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, and on Youtube.
