Dear Friend,

I am pleased to share with you that the Cape Fear Regional Jetport in Oak Island, North Carolina has been awarded of $3.65 million in federal funds. These funds will be used to construct a full parallel taxiway along the newly extended runway. The 5,500-foot taxiway will significantly improve airplane traffic flow at the airport by providing a dedicated access to the runway.

The Cape Fear Regional Jetport is an important component of the economy of Brunswick County, and it is integral to continued growth and development. These federal funds, appropriated by Congress for use by the Federal Aviation Administration, will help the airport continue to grow and prosper.

Congratulations to all the fine folks at the airport for their work in securing these funds. This is a great example of our federal taxpaying dollars coming home to work for us!

Sincerely,

U.S. Congressman Mike McIntyre
Representing the 7th District of North Carolina
